Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Earn4 LLC ("Earn4," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Earn4 website, application, public recruiting profiles, Highlight Builder, contact form, recruiting-readiness quiz, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
By continuing to use the Service you also acknowledge our Terms of Service. Questions can be sent to support@earn4.app or through the Earn4 Contact page.
2. Age requirement and children's privacy
Earn4 is intended only for users age 13 and older. We do not permit children under 13 to create accounts or use the Service. During signup we require every user to confirm they are at least 13 years old before an account is created.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has provided information to Earn4 should contact us at support@earn4.app.
Users ages 13–17 should use Earn4 with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. Earn4 does not permit children under 13 to create an account.
3. Information we collect
The categories below reflect what the Earn4 application actually collects today.
Account and authentication
- Email address.
- Authentication credentials, which are processed and secured through our authentication provider. Earn4 does not directly store passwords.
- First name, last name, and display name.
- Graduation year and recruiting-path selection (including JUCO or Pre-HS where applicable).
- Google account information (email, name, avatar) if you sign in with Google.
- A record of your age confirmation, including the timestamp and the applicable Terms and Privacy Policy versions.
Athlete profile
- Profile photo or avatar and optional cover image.
- Biography, high school, travel organization, city, and state.
- Position, height, weight, batting/throwing handedness, and other athletic information you enter.
- Athletic metrics you record (for example velocity, exit velocity, times, and related figures).
- Academic information you choose to add (GPA, SAT, ACT).
- Awards, offers, commitments, videos, and profile links you add.
- Contact preferences and optional social handles.
- Optional parent or guardian name and email used for the parent digest.
Public recruiting profile
- Selected athlete information becomes publicly viewable only when the athlete or family enables the public recruiting profile. New accounts start with the public profile turned off, and Earn4 does not publish it automatically.
- Information posted to a public profile may be viewed by anyone with the link, including without signing in, and may be copied, indexed by search engines, or shared by others.
School Tracker and recruiting activity
- Schools you track and their status in your list.
- Coach and staff information you enter (names, titles, contact fields).
- Notes you write about a school, coach, or interaction.
- Calls, visits, messages, and other outreach records you log.
- Follow-up dates and text-follow-up preferences you set.
- Reminders and calendar events you create or opt into.
Academy and Resource Library
- Task completion state and timestamps.
- Any proof text or links you attach to a task.
- Resource views, completion, and access-grant records.
Highlight Builder
- Video clips you upload and thumbnails generated from those clips.
- Trim in/out points, clip ordering, and player and end-card information you provide.
- Render and export status, and the resulting highlight videos.
- These materials are processed by our video-storage, playback, rendering, and AI-service providers as described in Section 6.
Recruiting-readiness quiz
- Email address and graduation year.
- Quiz responses, computed score, and internal readiness category.
Contact and support
- Name, email, inquiry topic, subject, and message.
- Technical information used for CAPTCHA verification and rate limiting.
Subscription and payment
- Stripe processes payment-card and billing information directly. Earn4 receives subscription and transaction details (customer identifier, subscription identifier, plan, status, billing period, cancellation timestamps) but does not store complete payment-card numbers.
Analytics and technical information
- Your Earn4 account identifier once you are signed in, along with non-identifying properties such as graduation-year grouping, plan type, membership status, and setup type. Because analytics events are associated with your account identifier after sign-in, this data is pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous.
- Browser, device, IP, request path, error information, cookies, and standard server logs used to operate and protect the Service.
4. How we use information
- Provide and operate Earn4.
- Personalize the recruiting roadmap, grade path, and Academy content.
- Help you manage schools, outreach, reminders, calendar events, and progress.
- Enable public recruiting profiles when you choose to publish them.
- Process videos, thumbnails, and highlight exports through our providers.
- Generate AI-assisted trim suggestions in the Highlight Builder.
- Process subscriptions and payments through Stripe.
- Send transactional and requested email (account, security, billing, contact, quiz, membership, and parent digest).
- Operate the contact form and the recruiting-readiness quiz.
- Measure product performance and improve the Service.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Earn4 does not currently operate marketing broadcast campaigns. If we introduce optional marketing emails in the future, we will provide the ability to opt out and update this policy.
5. Public profiles and user-directed sharing
Publication of your public recruiting profile is controlled by you. New accounts start with the public profile turned off. When you enable it, information such as your name, class year, position, high school and travel organization, city and state, profile photo, biography, athletic metrics you choose to expose, awards, offers, commitments, video links, and social handles may be viewable at your public profile URL.
A public profile can be viewed without signing in and may be copied, indexed by search engines, or shared by third parties. Disabling your public profile hides it from Earn4 going forward but cannot guarantee removal of copies that others already made. Do not publish information you would not want made public.
6. Highlight Builder, video, and AI processing
- Mux processes uploaded video for storage, encoding, and playback. Playback of final highlights uses public Mux playback identifiers, which means anyone with the playback URL can view the video without signing in.
- Shotstack receives source clip references and the player and end-card information needed to compose your final highlight export.
- Lovable AI Gateway and its underlying model provider receive a small number of still-frame thumbnail images from your uploaded clip so the AI can suggest trim points and flag likely category mismatches. The AI provider does not receive your raw video file. AI suggestions may be inaccurate, and you remain responsible for reviewing and selecting final clips.
- Intermediate video assets are removed on a cleanup schedule after a highlight export completes. Final exports remain available in your account until you delete them, subject to Earn4's overall retention practices in Section 11.
7. Service providers
We rely on the following categories of providers to operate Earn4. Providers process information only to perform services for us and are subject to their own agreements and policies.
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
- Cloudflare — hosting, network security, and CAPTCHA verification (Turnstile).
- Lovable Emails and its underlying email delivery provider — transactional and account-related email.
- Mux — video upload, storage, encoding, and playback.
- Shotstack — final highlight video rendering.
- Lovable AI Gateway and its underlying model providers (currently Google's Gemini family) — AI-assisted trim suggestions.
- PostHog — product analytics.
- Sentry — error monitoring.
- Google — Sign-in with Google, when used.
- BetterStack — uptime and cron heartbeat monitoring (no user data).
8. Sale and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising networks or behavioral advertising pixels. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do disclose information to service providers that help us operate Earn4, as described in Section 7.
9. Cookies and analytics
Earn4 uses cookies and similar technologies for:
- Authentication and session management (Supabase auth cookies).
- Product analytics (PostHog cookies and local storage).
- CAPTCHA verification (Cloudflare Turnstile cookies or technical storage during a challenge).
- Other essential cookies required to operate the Service.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Earn4 does not currently provide an in-product cookie preference center. Disabling essential cookies may prevent core features (such as signing in) from working.
10. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, encryption at rest through our infrastructure providers, authentication protections, monitoring, and security review. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Data retention
Different categories of information are retained for different periods based on active account needs, product operation, legal obligations, billing and tax requirements, fraud-prevention and security needs, dispute resolution, and provider backup and log retention. Intermediate Highlight Builder assets are removed on a cleanup schedule after export; final exports remain available in your account until you delete them.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@earn4.app. Deletion may not immediately remove:
- Billing, tax, or accounting records.
- Security, fraud-prevention, or abuse records.
- Email delivery, suppression, and unsubscribe logs.
- Backups that expire on our providers' schedules.
- Information we are required to retain by law.
- Copies of publicly published content already retained by third parties.
12. Privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request:
- Access to personal information we hold about you.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion of your account and associated data.
- A copy of certain information.
- Withdrawal from optional communications.
Earn4 does not currently offer a self-service data export in the app. Requests are handled by contacting support@earn4.app. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
13. Email communications
Transactional emails are used for account, billing, security, contact, quiz, membership, and parent-digest functions. Optional email communications, where offered, may include unsubscribe or preference controls. Certain account or security emails cannot be opted out of while an account remains active.
14. International users
Earn4 is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States and in other jurisdictions where our providers operate.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and provide additional notice when required by law or when the changes are material.
16. Contact
Questions or privacy requests may be sent to support@earn4.app or through the Earn4 Contact page.
